Platform Safety Gates

The first ever installation of platform safety gates anywhere in mainland China opened for service at the end of 2006.

17 platforms on 8 above-ground stations are each equipped with 12 WPSD safety gates plus fixed panels and emergency gates.

The 1.5m high gates comprise single glazed, clear heat soaked, toughened glass mounted in stainless steel clad door frames which are bolted to the platform using cast-in channels.

Platform Screen Doors

The six underground stations on the Huangzhou-Xinzao section of Line 4 are fitted with a Westinghouse Platform Screen Door façade reaching 3.2m in height.

The 12 platforms, mostly 85m long, are fitted with 12 active doorways plus fixed panels and 3 emergency doors at each end of the train.

Four car, three-door rolling stock is supplied by Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock.

The Westinghouse Platform Screen Doors control system has interfaces with the EMCS system, MCS system and the signalling system MODbus protocol. This section opened in December 2005
